I saw this cuff and I thought it was completely awesome. If I could get this somehow I would seriously be happy for a long while.
This is a compilation of tid bits of my life. I thought that I would share them with the world. Hopefully, I'm not too silly for anyone but if you stick with me I'm sure you'll enjoy my adventures just as much as I do.

The Run Down
Well, it's been awhile.
I got a little busy and everything seemed to kinda snowball out of control but I did have some good bits in there too.
Let's see where do I start?
Well, for those of you following me on Facebook, they're not going to do imports anymore so when I post here, it won't show up there. They'll do this on November 22 so just a heads up.
Halloween was interesting...
There was a party October 28 the Friday before Halloween in the French house. I was a ballerina by the name of Valentina Verdy, who comes from Paris and teaches at Indiana University. It was okay but kinda boring at the same time and like the silly person I am, I did dishes afterward. Then the next morning I hopped into my car and drove to Hicksville to share Halloween with family. I think we had fun that weekend. There was a lot of sweets and my very first meat pie a la uncle tony! It was delicious!!!!
On Sunday I got in my car and started to head back to BG but didn't quite make it. What we think happened is that the transmission went out but without having someone look at it that's really just the best guess we can come up with. So no more car....
Halloween itself was uneventful and kinda sad because I wanted my car to be all better and drivalble but that wasn't going to happen.
I started NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) on November 1st and plan to finish up my 50,000 words before the deadline. I'm at 47,816 words at the moment but that will probably change by the end of the night. Which leaves, 2,184 words left to get the ending in.
Anyone know why the ending is the hardest part of the story to write???
That next weekend I was going to babysit but I was canceled on twice. Once by the lady who lives in Sylvania (who I still haven't babysat for yet) and the other by Abbi who decided that spending the night at a friends house was better than hanging with her cousin. Oh well.
Cassi and I went to the mall in Ft. Wayne and went window shopping and had dinner next to the huge two story carousel that they have in the middle of the food court. We made wishes in the fountain and then headed to the Ville where Cassi was going to drop me off. On the way, we saw a shouting star and made another wish, which led us to decide that we deserved a Stake and Shake milkshake for being awesome.
Saturday, I hung out with Grandpa Bill. We went to church in this cute little church in a town that I can't remember the name of. It was a huge contrast from the cathedrals of Spain and barely had any embelishment..Afterwards we went to Rita's in Edgerton and had the most delicious BBQ ribs I've had in a real long time. And of course we had to finish it up with a slice of pie. Mine was mint chocolate pie.....to die for.....
And I think that's about it.
If you make it this far into reading this post then you get the bonus material so just keep reading on.
My week has been pretty normal. I thought that it was going to be insane with a paper due and two exams but I'm finding that I'm handling it pretty well and I even got a paper done for next week and I'm starting on a project for the end of the semester.
No classes on Friday because of Veteren's Day so I'm going home when Cassi picks me up.... It's going to be a nice relaxing weekend I think and I'm really happy that I get to see mom, dad, and the boys.
Okay bonus material....
since you've made it to the very bottom of this post you get a special prize.
I've been talking to this guy who I like more and more as we get to know eachother. He's kinda super awesome and we kinda used up most of the minutes on my phone talking for hours on end....oooppps....
Happiness!!!!
Okay,
That's officially it.
Blessed Be all my wonderful readers!

Found Something Cool!
Hello again all!
I'm writing before classes today since it's Tuesday and I'm so totally tired. Tired enough that I think I may have actually dreamt in french last night. I do remember the word for fish in there somewhere but the context was off so I'm not sure what exactly was going on.
There's no heat in the French House still, and I have only two packets of hot chocolate left and four packets of tea.....It's sad but I'll make it to the weekend I think. Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts are both close enough to get to to get a hot beverage that I can probably handle that too.
What's for breakfast?
Well, breakfast is me rolling out of bed at 10 this morning and going down to the kitchen with a poptart then changing my mind and coming back up the stairs to drop the poptart in a drawer. I then pulled on clothes and went to Dunkin Donuts for a hot chocolate and a breakfast sandwich. It's a sad excuse for breakfast but I didn't feel like doing much....
Plans for the day?
Well, I have class at one then lunch with friends and another class at four. After that is Spanish Club at 6 in the Pub so that I get my weekly dose of all spanish conversation. (there's one on mondays for french). To finish I'll be doing some hardcore homework in prep for Wednesday and then falling asleep in a blanket burrito.
Listening to?
Thity Second's to Mars This is War
Something Awesome I found?
Why yes, I have one of those.
Olde Tyme Writing Set
I found it when I was doing stuff on Figment.com with my writing. One of the prizes to a contest was this set and I think it's awesome! I've wanted one since I started writing and it may actually be on my bucket list to write with a quill.
Something Random?
It amazes me the amount of Christmas stuff that is out already in stores. Do they really expect people to buy this stuff before Halloween has even happened? I mean seriously. Then when Christmas does actually come around does it all go on sale or disappear in favor of Valentines day? What goes through their heads when they say "yeah that's a good idea"?
Sorry no fun squirrel story today. They seem to be finding warm places to be now that it's getting colder.
BTW.
I'm not looking forward to snow so be prepared for a rant on that when it happens.
Hasta Prontito!

BG Again
I just thought I'd write a little something to say that I'm back at school from my beautiful break. I really didn't realize how much I missed the colors changing on the leaves until I was driving up there and sounding like mom.... "Look at the colors. They're so pretty...." I think they smell good personally and the campfire with the whole family was awesome. I can't think of a better way to end a night then sitting by the fire watching my brothers be idiots in the dark and piling wood on the fire until it gets taller than Zeke....
I probably won't go home again until christmas but at least I got to go once this semester and I know that I always have space in Hicksville when I want to get away for a night or something.
It's quiet in the house at the moment since people aren't back from break yet. I'm enjoying it. That and the sunshine out my window. It was a beautiful drive. There wasn' t much traffic and I made pretty good time though I wasn't trying to get here before a certain time frame; case in point, I had to take Zac his economy book before he went to class and I stopped to say goodbye to mom before stopping at Coffee Talk for a Chai Tea Latte for the road.
The most frustrating part of the day was when the vending machine at the rest stop wouldn't take my quarters....so I had to dig around in my purse and find nickels and dimes to make 75 cents after the dollar that it took with no problems.
Random add-in... There's a funny gray squirrel outside. He's twitching his tail and it looks like he's dancing around a spot.....it probably has to do the dance of "protect my nuts"....
and now he's run away up a tree because someone walked by. Mean peoples....
Song I'm listening to at the moment: Boy by Ra Ra Riot
If you like my little imput things (i.e. Song, random add-in, frustrating point) let me know. I decided that I was going to put them in because I figured that this blog was getting a little boring.
Hasta Pronto!

Pink at night, Sailor's delight...
I'm posting today because I said I would soon and I totally forgot the meaning of soon I guess. I've been busy though! I had papers to write and stuff like that. Plus with midterms starting in the coming weeks I might just go insane but that's okay because right now, at this very moment, I can look out the window and see this beautiful pink orange sunset that isn't really a sunset at all becasue it's raining and subsequently clowdy. It made my day.
Something else cool that happened.....well okay so I'm pretty boring and I don't have anything really spectacular to report. I'm just hanging out, doing homework, staying out of trouble and trying to keep up spirit even though I've hit my rut.
Just watch.
My life will get turned on its head for some reason or another very soon. I'm sure of it.
On a different note, I'm officially assuming that my previous migrains and the ones that I have off and on now are caused by stress. I'm not taking anything for them though so I'm sure it makes me cranky and antisocial when I get them but can you really blame me for not wanting to be around people when my head pounds at the slightest noise?
When I have time I write as many of you know and I've recently been shown a website where I can share some of my stories and people will actually read them... I have four fans at the moment....
Becca's Figment Page
The above link should take you to my page where you can access all of the works I've posted.
I guess that's about all I have for now. If something new comes up I guess I'll try to get it posted when I can but I'm not going to promise anything.
Untill next time, stay happy, stay healthy and
Blessed Be

Yikees!!!!
Well, sorry it took so much time to post again, one of these days I'm going to get on a good schedule of posting and you can all keep up with me....maybe.
So, I've been pretty busy, as you can tell. I'm involved with two clubs this year and my 18 credit hours are a little tough but I'm keeping my head above water. French is coming along fantastically, I'm learning a lot and I feel like the class moves really slow which I'm taking as a good sign but I do have the advantage of knowing Spanish so it helps.
On a sad note, I think I've got migranes.....
It hasn't been medically confirmed yet because they didn't do any tests or anything yet but I had to go to health services on campus last Friday. They gave me a pain shot and I was knocked out for a good 2 hours. Then they sent me home with some high dose Ibprophin and a muscle relaxer so this past weekend was kind of a blur.
Grandpa Bill picked me up at BG and drove me to Hicksville. I'm glad I got to spend time with family, even though I was out most of the time. Grandpa Bill and I even went to the Johny Appleseed festival in Fort Wayne Sunday morning before I went back to BG. It was so crowded there but I had fun listening to the music and smelling the sweet appley goodness....
If anyone is interested, I have posted a new teaser story on my other blog.

Sorry to keep it short but I've got to get back to studying and homework....
Hopefully I'll get a chance to post again around Friday this week.
Blessed Be

Oh so busy
Wow, I love life, and apparently I love not having one as well.
So within a week of being on campus I've gotten myself into two groups, one of which I was already in, and became treasurer of the spanish club. I also volunteered to use an hour of my free time on thursday to promote the spanish club. I feel a little like a traitor.
Things are going good so far. Classes are going smoothly and I've gotten together with some friends from Spain to hang out with between classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ummm....
My birthday is coming up soon... at least according to the people asking me what I want. Just in case you are thinking of asking, here is the answer.
I would like one fountain pen or quill point pen so that I can be fancey when I write.
I would also like a robot that will do all of my chores/chore-like tasks.
I might like a transporter machine so that I do not have to go out in the cold winter.
I may need a pair of boots that will actually hold up in 10 feet of snow....maybe black....
I'm thinking about rollerblades and hair dye but those are pretty low on the list.
I also like movies, candy, posters, and books.....lots of things really.
but I really want that robot....
Now you know.
Now I have to get back to homework.
Love Ya'll

Summer must be gone
Well, I guess I missed it. It was here then gone in a flash. I'm back in Bowling Green for those of you who don't know. Classes started today and I've just finished for the day. So I decided to sit in front of my computer for a few minutes, sipping my smoothie and wondering in print to all of you people out there in cyberspace.
French seems like it's going to be a challenge but I think I'll get through it. I'm also taking British Literature, Modern Astronomy, a class about Folklife and Material Culture, a Spanish 400 level linguistics class, and international studies.
Nothing real exciting to report. I think that my roommate and I will get along well and I'm going to look into trying out for club softball bt I'm not completely sure about everything yet. Things will settle in soon though.
Okay, now I have to go to the bookstore to try to beat the crowd and get some college essentials....
I'll probably post again later this week.
Chao!

Home Life
Well, it's been a while. I can't say I'm excited or that I have anything exciting planned but that's becasue I probably do have something up my sleeve and I just don't feel like sharing. Ha Ha ha ha!
yeah, so I'm blogging again just for the fun of it.
I have to work today but not for a little while longer.
I've been home for about two months now and at this very moment I am bored out of my brains but I've been keeping busy, or at least trying to keep busy. I'm working at the gas station again and it gives me something to do. I am umpiring as well and last weekend I did a tournament for 11 and 12 year old baseball in which I was one of the three umpires for the championship game, meaning that I've been recognized even if it is just a tiny little nudge.
Other than that I'm just hanging out really. Writing and watching movies.
I signed up for all my classes for the fall. I have 19 credit hours again 4 of which are french. Wait, I'm giving away secrets to the future......
I am hoping that this blog finds everyone well.
Blessed Be

Sleep Deprivation
Home again
Home again
Jiggidy Jig
Hello from back in my own house in my own room, sitting on my own bed....okay so I'm in the computer room, but none of you would have known unless I had said something.
Anyway, I'm home, I'm tired and very very very jet lagged... but it's all good. I start work next week and this week I'm going to try to get things into a rhythm that I can handle. No more getting up at four am and not being able to sleep any longer...
Umm.... Let's see....
Well I didn't tell you guys about the other half of my Spring Break, did I?
London was fun. I got to see lots of things from Westminster Abby to the Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park....of course I saw the London Eye as well and on Thursday I went to Stonehenge....which really is just a pile of rocks. The most spectacular part about Stonehenge is the fact that there is so much mystery surrounding it but other than that and the Druid I met there, it wasn't very exciting. I don't regret going though. I had to know for myself what it was like and now I can say that I have.
Friday I went to Manchester to meet Wendy, Paul, Lucy and Zoe. They're an amazing family that totally took me in and showed me a great time even though we only knew eachother through Deb and Tony who know Wendy's brother who lives in the states. We went all the way to Hadrian's wall on Saturday with a picnic lunch and everything. I was not expecting that and it was a wonderful break from feeling a little cut off from family. Sunday was Easter and they got me an Easter basket. I was so surprised and happy that I about cried. I think I might have if I were any less awake at that point, but who knows.
So if you're reading this Zoe and/or Lucy, tell your parents that I had a wonderful time and that you have to come visit so I can return the favor. I wish you two the best of luck in your sports and I hope we stay in touch.
~
After Spring Break were some final exams to finish up and I got my grades by Thursday. Everything went wonderfully and I passed all of my classes. So now that my first year of college is over I'm looking back and wondering where all the time went.....
Was it supposed to fly by like that?
Well, to those of you who still have exams this week i wish you luck and I hope you do well. Then I hope you travel safely back home or wherever it may be that you are heading out of the dorms.... I'll be working, trying to pay for gas and save for books for next semester but it should hopefully all work out in the end.
Blessed be all!

Ireland, it's been a long five days...
So here I am back from kissing the Blarney stone, sitting in the common room of the hostel I'm staying at for one more night and reflecting on the stuff I've done these past couple days....
(I'll get pictures up as soon as I get back to Spain)
Okay, ready for this list?
Dublin: I got in Thursday night and crashed pretty much. I wrote a little sitting in the cafe of the hostel I was in which was named the Avalon House. I got up in the morning and ate breakfast in that same cafe. So Friday, out of the hostel and on to the street. I went to Trinity College first and passed the statue of Molly Malone, forgetting to take out my cammera until afterward.... Then I went to a Starbuck's and got a Chai Tea Latte (because I'm addicted) and then from there I went toward St. Patrick's Cathedral, stopping at Christ Church on the way.... I didn't go into St. Patrick's because they wanted 5.50 euro to go in but I sat outside in the sunshine in the park next to it. After a quick bite from a local market, (apple and a sandwhich which I watched them make for me on a warm from the oven bun plus I found a Dr. Pepper which they don't have in Spain and had to indulge), I toured the Dublin Castle which is really cool then I went wandering toward the Guinness Storehouse, getting lost only twice. I am finding that people are extremely nice and do all they can to help. I was asked if I wanted to be accompanied to the Storehouse so that I didn't get lost any further.... The Guinness Storehouse is way cool and you get a free pint in the skybar....Then finally to the bus station so I could head out to Galway....
Galway: Well, plans didn't go exactly the way I thought they would and I had to enlist the help of more Irish people to find a bed and breakfast to replace my other accomadations....it was a stressful night but I'm alive and a guy bought me a drink in the bar because he said that after going through the hell I had, I needed it.... I had a full Irish breakfast the next morning and took a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. They were so pretty and I'm still amazed that I haven't seen any rain (being in Ireland and everything).
Limerick: So after another night in Galway I got a bus to Limerick and met up with Nic Gareiss who's dad works with my mom. he was way cool and showed me around the University there. We also went to a gig where some of his friends where playing trad (traditional) music in a pub. I had so much fun! So if you're reading this Nic, Thanks for a great time!
Cork: I got to Cork on Monday afternoon, had to take a nap, then went exploring a bit... It's not a very big city and it isn't very interesting either. I stopped at a sandwhich shop for dinner and crashed again... Today, I got up and went on a day tour to Cobh, Kinsale, and the Blarney Castle where I kissed the Blarney Stone! It really isn't that spectacular but I did it and I'm happy because I've completed something else on my bucket list.
Tomorrow, I head to London. I have to get up and catch a bus to the airport at 6 in the morning but I'll be okay. I have a hostel for two nights in Westminster and I'll see Stonehenge on Thursday and head out of Victioria Station for Manchester Friday morning and meet up with friends of Aunt Deb and Uncle Tony for the weekend before heading back to Madrid and Finals week. I'll try to post again somewhere along the line and get pictures up when I get back to Spain.
Best wishes to all! See lots of you very soon!!

Taking the Northwest by Storm
This was meant to be posted a while ago. Sorry for the delay.
Hello all!
I've just gotten back from another adventure and man was it fun! I went to the Northwest of Spain called Galicia to a city called Santiago de Compostella Thursday morning and stayed there until this morning (Saturday) It was really quite the adventure seeing as I went alone and came back all in one piece. I wandered the old part of Santiago de Compostella on Thursday and got to sit in on a mass at the HUGE cathedral there. I even got to see some museums and sit in the wonderful sunshine just to watch people go by.
These are the front steps of the cathedral...
above the door
me in front of the cathedral
The next day I got on a tour bus and went on a tour of some places toward the south...little villages with tons of history, for example this place...
That's a replica of the Pinta...you know the boats of Columbus's fleet...the Nina the Pinta and the Santa Maria...
These are ruins of a celtic comunity that existed a way long time ago.....
Me and the celtic ruins....I would have stayed there all day.
This is officiallly Portugal...a fort where I had lunch

Here's a random band that I found as I wandered the streets of Santiago de Compostella on the last night I was there. It was pretty cool.

Where did it go?
Time,
I'm losing my mind I swear because it was March just days ago and now I'm in my last month in Spain.
Oh jeez. my time is ending... and its so very sad.
Sorry I haven't posted in so long...nothing terribly huge has happened but I have been having a wonderful time here. We went as a group from BG to the north East of Spain. A part called Cantabria. It was so very pretty.
This is just one of the pictures I took while we were on the bus. It was so green I wanted to get out and just stay there forever. Obviously, that's not what I did but I thought about it...and I had dreams about it....
While there we stayed in this incredible old hotel that was a noble's house at one time. It was located in this tiny little town where there was like no one but us and the town's people. I loved it.
We went to the beach the next day and ran around like little children. Putting our feet in the water even though it was absolutely freezing.
Aren't my toes beautiful?
You have no idea how hard it is to hold your feet still in cold water until you try to take a picture of it.
Here's a picture of the tiny town where we stayed from the balcony of my hotel room...the town is called Santillana del Mar, but it's not saintly, there's no ocean and it's not flat....
These are the beautiful shells that were scattered all over the beach...
This weekend there was a bunch of stuff to do here in Alcala for a sort of celebration called La Noche en Blanco. I participated in a flashmob in the town center and danced the macarena with a bunch of random people...it was a ton of fun. Obviously, because I was dancing, I don't have pictures of it but I'm going to get some from my friends so that I can show you guys what it was like.
The night before, it was a friend's birthday so we went to the gay district of Madrid and didn't get home until 7 am...it was soooooooo much fun and so great not to be getting hit on by drunk men.
Now, I should be doing homework, so I'm going to get that done and I'll try to write again next weekend after a bullfight and my solo trip to Galicia in the northwest of Spain.
Love and best wishes!

Trying to Keep You on The Same Page
Okay so here we go again....I'm trying to keep all of this updated but its so hard when I have so little time online. Sigh. Okay so I went to France this past weekend and it was definitely an experience. Not my favorite but I'm not going to judge just by what I've seen. French wasn't hard to understand but it was interesting to try to speak. I think for the French that I do know I did pretty good getting around and ordering food and everything. Next semester should be pretty interesting.
Okay so the trip....
We flew into Paris Thursday night and went to see Moulin Rouge just from the outside. Unfortunately, that's about all there is to see...
Afterward we went to the Catacombs. They are creepy and dark and filled with bones. My brothers would have thought that they were great but I wasn't so sure I liked them.
Name this Cathedral and win Twenty bucks....just kidding....
These pictures are all from and of the illustrious Notre Dame. I would go back there in a heartbeat.
This would be the Louvre...but unfortunately it was so expensive that we didn't go in....
The Effeil Tower where I got my gula-gula....long story short this guy made us bracelets and wanted us to pay for them....he got all of two euro out of me....
The beautiful Mont Saint Michel....an abby that sometimes due to the tides is an island.
There were really tiny streets in places...
Lots of stairs....
And views to die for.
All in all despite getting a cold I think I had fun in France and I'm really excited to learn more French and hopefully go back later.
2 weeks until Cantabria.
5 weeks until Spring Break
Seven weeks left on this adventure.
Man how time flies....

Good Bye February.
Well, I said I would post again with pictures but I got busy again. This whole not having internet in my house thing is really making me lose my mind sometimes. Anyway, I am going to put up some pictures from Granada now and then make another post to tell you about this past weekend which I spent in France!
Besos!
Besos!
Alright I start my trip off with a bad translation....Pain in French is Pan in Spanish which means bread but everything else is in English so we found this hilarious.
This is the big cathedral where in one Capilla the Catholic King and Queen (Ferdinand and Isabella) are entombed. It is very pretty and very elaborate.
This is part of the military part of a castle in Granada. This bell signaled everything from attacks on the city to times you could water your crops. Now there is a special holiday when a handful of virgins ring the bell searching for their soulmate....
This is the palace where the royalty went to relax. It was done by the Arabic king and saved from destruction by a book written by Washington Irving
The beautiful beach at Salobrena. The water is cold, the beach is stone and the sun was shining.
Enough said.
A castle that served as a prison. there is more of it but I thought this picture was pretty good so this is what you get.
Saturday night we went to this place to see a flamenco show.
This is the flamenco show. Flamenco is one of the most well known dances of Spain and it is really hard to dance or play from the guitarists point of view...at least according to what I've heard.

I stand on a precipice...
Writing this with a bad case of homesickness probably isn't the wisest decision of my life but I feel that if you wish to know me I can't keep putting everything in sugar-coated glee. I apologize in advance for the dreariness of this blog.
I stand on a precipice....
figuratively speaking, yes. I've reached the middle of my adventure in Spain. Forward is another adventure and backward is a long confusing path that has gotten me to where I am today.
I was in Granada last weekend and there are some fabulous pictures of the beautiful castle and surrounding area. I must have taken about three hundred pictures or at least very close to that. I was going to try to put some up with this quick post but I don't have internet that is fast enough for that in the apartment. So you'll have to wait until Monday for that.
I want to take a moment to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA SKIP!!!!!!
I'm sorry this is late but I want you to know that I'm thinking of you.
This past week was quite a mess. I had the beginning of my midterms which I finish this week, and I was trying to study and get housing done and plan my spring break (which is going to be a blast by the way). I got to skype with Cassi on Thursday I think it was and I was really happy to hear her voice even though she was a little mad at me for getting her up at 5 AM.
As for housing, I will be staying in the French house for at least the first semester while I get some french under my belt and possibly head back to Europe to study in France for the spring. If it costs the same as BG tuition, then why not do it?
I'm really excited to start another language and I hope I take to it as well as I did with Spanish. Another plus is all the fun conversations I'll be able to have......I can imagine them already.
As for Spring Break, I'll leave that one a surprise until later. My mom might accidentally say something but I'm not going to be mad at her because she's going to worry about me that whole week... I'll have fun that's for sure.
If anyone gets a chance you should read the other blog I'm writing.....yes I'm going to mention it again. I just want everyone to know that it does in fact exist.

Please read. I implore you to read it.
Lot's of love until the next post!!!

Oh Jeez!
Sorry, I didn't remember that I was going to post!
I've been so busy that things are getting lost in transit. For example the skin on my finger....I shut it in the door because I forgot that it shuts quickly.....
All is well though.
I'll finally post some pictures today too.
But first the update.
I'm having a TON of fun. my friends Kalyn and Chester are the best. We hang out so much and we went to Toledo last weekend. This weekend the whole group from BG is going to Granada so that could be interesting.
I've found a job sort of. I'm going to tutor two kids in English and get paid to do so. I'm so excited you have no idea. On top of that I got into the French House for next year at BG. I'm thinking that after a semester of that I'll come back to Europe and try France this time...just another adventure to add to my list.
I even have time somehow to write. So I'm putting a new post on the other blog. Feel free to check it out and leave comments.

Okay I think I'll put up some pictures now....
Segovia First
The beautiful snow covered gardens of Palacio de la Granja. A palace dedicated to the king's hunting and vacationing tendencies.
This is what the Romans left over in Segovia. Its an aqueduct with over 100 arches and constructed without the help of cement. In some places you can see the sky between the giant square blocks.
This is Segovia's cathedral. It is built in the gothic style and is said to be the last one of its style built in Spain. If you think this is impressive you should see the inside.
This castle may look familiar to you...then again maybe not. This castle inspired Disney as Cinderella's castle but that's not really what it is. In reality it is a museum but it once was a vacationing castle of the royal family named the Alcazar. Inside now its a military archive which was way cool.
This is a window inside the castle above. It is an original.
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Toledo
This is the bullet train that we took from Madrid to get there. It took us half an hour to get there and it is my very first experience on a train...needless to say I will be taking the train again when it's possible.
This is just a random tower in Toledo. The city that stands today was home to the Three major cultures/religions that inhabited Spain so wherever you go you can find Muslim (like this), Jewish, or Cristian influences and fortifications.
This is part of the huge cathedral that I went to....unfortunately it didn't want to be in the picture completely so the bottom left corner is the doorway and this is one of the towers. Inside was impressive with everything in gold and silver. Something to put on your list if you come to Spain.
Because of the cultures mixing and clashing here in Toledo there are tons of shops that make swords, daggers, helmets (like these) and other stuff pertaining to medieval war/battles, including the Knights Templar. I tried to get Chester to put on some Roman body armor so he would have perfect abbs and I would have a hilarious picture but he didn't want to....
This I did to show you how the streets are in Toledo. I could stick my arms out and touch both buildings. Also it serves to introduce my friends Chester and Kalyn. We make quite the group.
One of the biggest things in Toledo or most typical or whatever, is marzipan. This whole castle is made of it and then we knew we had to go into this place and eat some...sorry no pictures of us making pigs of ourselves, they were too sketchy. (kidding)
So now you're up to date for the most part. I am making a scrapbook sort of thing for everyone to see when I get back. And of course there are always more pictures that I don't have time to try to put up here and explain each one.
I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy in your freezing temperatures. So until I post again...
Blessed Be

A Month Flew By
This is what happens when you throw a clock out the window....
JUST KIDDING!
I can hardly believe that this day, today, maybe dnot at this very moment but TODAY! is the one month aniversary of my stay in Spain.
I don't know what to do with myself....I'm having a ton of fun and getting to experience so many new things. I'm soo sad that I've been here a month already without thinking about it.
Anyway, I want to share some more pictures but I think I'll have to wait until next time to do it since I'm working on some homework at the moment. We went to Segovia this past Friday and the pictures are from there.
I guess I better get back to my homework....
sorry to keep things short. I'll get back to you guys with pictures as soon as I can.
Besos!

Okay now that I'm caught up I can put up some photos from this weekend when I went to Barcelona. It was seriously amazing and I can't wait to drag my friends there when I have the money.

Lots of Love to all!
