So I heard that there is a poster about me in the backhall of Farwell High School. I'm glad that someone cares enough to put it out there. So Thanks to whoever you were.
My birthday was way fun. There was a party and my whole class came plus a few from other classes. Alas, private school life means that my class is only about 20 people but still.
There was a grill manned by my abuelo and cake made by the nana at my grandparents' house. There was even a dj who was the best friend of my uncle Toco.
and not to mention the chocolate fountain!!!!!!

I'll just say that it was a blast and leave it at that.
The week before was crazy. I went to Santiago with the choir and played the flute that I brought with me. We ended up winning the competition, making the choir one of the top choirs in Chile. I miss band class though because no one reads music here and it makes things extra hard and frustrating for me.
The weekend before that was like Homecoming weekend and I went to the dance with my uncle Toco who is really a good guy. The dance was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring. There was almost no one there and the music was crappy. The good part was the masks and glow bracelets that nearly made it worth getting dressed up for. I dyed my hair and the nana of my grandparents did my hair.

Before that was like homecoming week. Classes were let out at 1 and then it was optional to come back for the events held later that day or night. I was up past midnight on that wednesday helping with what they call the Velada which is like mock rock with points that go toward your level...
we lost.
So far Chile has been nothing but awesome and I hope that the exchange students in Farwell are having just as much fun as I am. So if you are in Farwell and reading this go talk to one of the exchange students, take them out to do something and overall be their friend because being in a new place with nothing to do is the worst. Trust me.
More later this week.
