Well, Hello again,
I know I'm not being very good about this whole posting thing. I've had a pretty crazy schedule this month. I did actually get the other class but now there's been a change of plans and I have to drop back to 18 credit hours. So, needless to say I'll be looking for a job to keep me on my toes instead. I should have probably started filling out applications this weekend...
Okay, so here's a run down of what has been going on.
I just boiled over some cheese pasta in my microwave and had to clean it up. Irrelivant information.
Okay so you know my class schedule, so I'll talk about that. My classes aren't too terribly demanding. Lots of reading and annotating but I've only had to write one paper so far and it was a first draft that we were supposed to build on the rest of the week so it wasn't terribly hard either. Geography and Economics aren't too bad either. I was expecting a lot more work from those two but maybe we're still in the introductory period. Who knows?
Umm. Things got a little complicated this past week when my advisor basically told me that going abroad again and continuing French weren't in my best interest. He was a jerk about it and I wasn't too happy afterward but I've moved on from there. I'm trying to work out at least another semester of adventure before I have to buckle down and finish up. Again, who knows what will happen with that?
My roommate moved out yesterday, so I have a room to myself. It's a nice change of scenery for me and I'm hoping that I get to keep it like this for the rest of the semester. I have to wait and see because of a rumor that they are going to start charging those of us that have a single room regardless of whether or not we chose that option or not. At this point it's just a rumor so until I get official communication as to that I'm going ot enjoy having my own room and the priveledges that come with that....
January's been pretty dry as far as snow fall here. We just got a little today but mostly it's been raining. Weather is silly, especially in Bowling Green.
My migranes have returned. I get them and they are sometimes terrible, sometimes tollerable. I seriously thing that they have to do with stress but I mean I'm no doctor so I can't say for sure. Things in my life right now just cause stress and that's all there is to it. I can't change that so much but dealing with my stress, I should find time to relax more.
An example of destressing....
Last night I had the room to myself for the first time so I celebrated a little. I rearranged the furniture, cleaned and then curled up on my bed with a box of Triscuits and some garlic and herb cheese, watching Sherlock Holmes (the version with Robert Downey Jr. that they just made a sequel to). It was nice to just have time to myself for once but I can see this getting a little lonely so I'll have to do something about that....
I found a new book series that I've been reading when I feel like taking some down time to myself. The first was called Matched and the second is Crossed (reading now) by Ally Condie. It's a really good series and sometimes it reminds me of the Hunger Games which has become a recent....let's not call it an obsession, it's more like a small passion/hobby....something like that. I just like it enough that I've considered getting a small tattoo of a mocking jay (symbol of rebelion from the book) behind my ear. That's probably just a pipe dream though....
I don't know what else to say.
I'd love to get some snail mail sometimes if you people out there are willing. I love getting it and I love sending it. Cassi and I currently have this sort of penpal thing going on but I have to admit that it's kinda lame because we can just pick up the phone and call eachother, which we frequently do anyway....
so yeah, drop me a line.
If you need my address, just ask and I'll make sure you get it!
So until my next post,
Blessed Be
