So here I am, writing again. I have been in Bowling Green for a week since Spring break as of Sunday March 11th and it's looking like spring has finally made it to us. The weather is absolutely gorgeous with temperatures in the 70's and the sun shining on our every step as we go about our days. It makes going to classes an internal debate....really it makes going inside anywhere a debate. That's not to say that the sun won this debate though, becauase I did go to classes like the good girl that somewhere deep down I may actually be.
Who knows?
I'm loving having my plants here in the dorm with me. I know I sound like a crazy cat lady but I love my plants and I can hardly wait for my lavendar to sprout. I give the seedlings so much love that I hope they don't drown in it. That would be seriously tragic and I might have to hold a funeral if it does happen.
At the moment I only have one picture for my Photo Diary this week. I've neglected to drag my camera with me so I took this with my phone. Those of you who aren't Dr. Who fans, this is from that show. The words are said to be scattered across space and time but they keep showing up here on campus and I take a picture of them everytime I see them, hopefully before the weather makes them go away.
This one was on the steps that lead to the library entrance and I found another that same day in front of the Education building but the rain had gotten to it before I could document it's existence.
In other news,
I have the tally for the miles I ran this week. I didn't think I would get this far seeing as I gained back five pounds over spring break and really didn't do much exercise but I did pretty well if I do say so myself.
Monday: 10 miles
Tuesday: 9.5 miles
Wednesday:7 miles
Thursday:10 miles
Today (Friday): 8.5 miles
Leaving the grand total for this week at 45 miles!
Continuing on,
My mouth still hurts from the fillings last week. I think it's my fault mostly because I've been having dreams where I grit my teeth and it seems like the left side of my mouth is getting it the worst. That's just my theory though.
There was a wicked awesome thunderstorm last night with thunder so loud that I thought I might wet the bed (though I assure you I didn't). Lightning ripped across the sky every two to three minutes and thunder followed in between them making me feel as if the building were being hit with a wrecking ball. The tree outside my window danced in the strobing light with the force of the wind that brought the smell of fresh, wet ground to my wanting nose. The rain fell as if gravity had triplified upon the tiny droplets, forcing them hard against whatever they happened to hit......
Sorry, I guess I got a little passionate for a second there.
Classes were uneventful this week. I have a paper to write this weekend even though it's St. Patrick's day and no one that I know is going to want to sit down and do homework of any kind and least of all a paper on civil disobedience for a General Studies Writing course that makes them feel like they're back in their freshman year of high school....
Again with the droning,
This isn't what you guys want to read.
I have no official plans for this weekend. I might go hang out with some friends but I might just hang around my dorm and write that stupid paper.
Next week is the premier of THE HUNGER GAMES!
I'm super excited about it even though I probably won't go see it that weekend. Most likely, I'll be doing one of two things. One option is that I find a way to get to Hicksville to go to a benefit dinner for a friend of mom's who has cancer and the other is that I hang out in my dorm and write another paper and work on a couple presentations for the end of the semester which is sneaking up on me quickly.
The weekend after that is Ginny's birthday and we're going to have some fun together but I'll keep that under wraps for when I blog about that particularly.
I did something seriously out of my element today.
I felt kinda stupid but I guess life takes you in all sorts of directions and you never know where you might end up.
Anyway, I was having lunch with Chelsea in the Union today and I happened to spot this really cute guy sitting all alone at a table. So as we finished, and under heavy encouragement from Chelsea, I went up to him and said hi like a complete and total brainless idiot.
My nerves got the best of me and I spoke like a mile a minute and told him that he was cute, to which he responded that I was beautiful today too....then I was like, well, I'm on my way to class and I just wanted to say hi, so it was nice meeting you and have a great day.....
I'm pretty sure I looked like a babbling fool but I think that it bumped up my confidence a little because I know that I can do it and even though I felt stupid I really just needed to breathe and relax.
(easier said than done).
I'm not sure that I have anything else to type today. I know I kinda dumped lots of stuff down here but this was a really interesting, fast-paced week and I felt like I should at least give you something about what happened this week, especially since this is a blog about my adventures. Life is full of little adventures and according to Amelia Earhart, "Adventure is worthwhile in itself."
On that note,
Blessed Be

And you didn't get the cute guy's name or number?!?! he could be the stranger you married in my dream!!! :P
